Ten Month Old Baby Has Been Admitted To Hospital For Obesity

When it comes to obesity we know that we have a serious problem in the UK, but did you know that the UK is the capital of the obesity problem in Europe.

We spend £5billion pounds each year on obesity related illnesses which is disturbing, but what is more disturbing is when we have a ten month old baby who is admitted to hospital for being overweight and obese.

The ten month old baby was admitted to hospital after doctors became concerned about her weight and although this is a strange case of a child so young having an obesity problem, obesity is not uncommon among children.

According to a recent report, in the last three years nearly 1,000 children who had an obesity related illness were admitted to hospital.

Out of these 1,000 children, 283 of them were of primary school age while 101 of those children were under the age of five.

This shows there is a serious problem in the UK with child obesity.

Claire Hegarty a weight loss expert who helps adults and children lose weight using hypnotherapy said:

"It is shocking when we see a child of such a young age having an obesity problem, more needs to be done in the UK to help combat child obesity."

The weight loss expert who recently launched a free weight loss campaign, offering free advice to people wishing to lose weight, feels we need to put more money into schools to help combat obesity at an early age before it is allowed to develop.
